Tour Itinerary

 Stop 1: Lotus Farm

The lotus flower grows in mud, yet rises above it to grow untainted by its surroundings. In essence, the lotus is a symbol of purity, and carries deep religious significance for the local Cambodian-Buddhist community. On our first stop, we take you to a lotus farm, where you will be able to learn more about this remarkable flower and watch lotus farmers at work. The farm is also wonderful photo opportunity!

 Stop 2: Spectacular Rice Paddies

After the lotus farm, we will cycle along Kampot’s paddy fields. Be amazed by this spectacular scenery, and be sure to photograph it! You will also see paddy farmers at work, many of whom still use traditional farming methods to plant and harvest their crop.

 Stop 3: Traditional Khmer Noodles

At our next stop, we will visit a local noodle maker. Your guide will tell you more about the processes involved in this trade, and you may choose to sample some yummy noodles if you wish!

 Stop 4: Cambodian Rolled Cake

Next up, your guide will introduce you to the Cambodian rolled cake, a local delicacy of Kampot. Observe the processes involved in the making of this delicious cake, and discover how this simple trade sustains the local community. If you would like to, you can sample a taste!

 Stop 5: Rice Mill

On your final stop, your guide will take you to a rice mill, where you will be able to watch how paddy husks are removed from their grain—the final step of the paddy’s milling process. Get to know the friendly family who runs this mill, and learn more about their trade and role within the larger community!
